Displaying Business Partner Relationships as list/hierarchy/network

You can display business partner relationships in different formats in the SAP GUI.

How to use this functionality?

This is achieved by changing the value of "Format" field.

  • As a list:

You can see all the relationships of a business partner for all relationship categories, or select a particular relationship type to display the relationships of that relationship category.

    list.png

  • As a hierarchy:

In the hierarchical display format, you can see all the relationships of a business partner belonging to each relationship type you have selected on a specified key date (1:n view).
    hierarchy.png

You can also select the appropriate display level in order to display a complex relationship set for a BP. By right-clicking on the BP in the relationships, you can display its incoming/outgoing relationships.
    hier2.png

  • As a network:

All the relationships of a business partner of a selected relationship type on a specified Key Date (1:n view) are displayed graphically. The business partners are represented as nodes, and the business partner relationships are represented as lines between the nodes.
    network.png
You can select the display level here, and use buttons to enlarge or reduce the display.
You can choose between portrait and landscape format when displaying relationships. For example, I choose horizon display:

    network2.png

The graphical display format also allows you to view all the incoming and outgoing business partner relationships as well as the relationships for additional business partners simultaneously. For example, BP 472 is contact person for 6000000971 and 6000002723, and it also has contact person 6000003397:
    network3.png

Is this supported in CRM WEBUI?

This functionality is only available in SAP GUI, and not available in CRM WEBUI.

Condition record filter on DATBI

$

Hello All,

We have maintained filter for object DNL_COND_A004 on field DATBI with a value which specifies that condition records with DATBI value greater than or equal to the mentioned date value is allowed for replication to CRM system from ERP system. Now, if we create a condition record with DATBI value less than the filter value, it does not get replicated to CRM which is expected. If the condition record is changed (using transaction VK12) so that the DATBI value satisfies the filter condition, the record is not getting replicated to CRM.

The filtering of data takes place in CRM_FILTER_DOWNLOAD_DATA function module of ERP system. It deletes the valid entry because the deletion happens by comparing KNUMH value which is same for both old condition record and the new one.

Any pointers, suggestions is appreciated.

How to replicate Contract and Service Order.

$

Hi CRM Gurus,

My client has a requirement, they first create Service Contract and with reference to that a Sales order will be created. A service Order will automatically generated once the Sales Order saved. This Service Order can be visible in Sales order document flow.

Now the issue is, how we can view this Service Order and Contract in CRM  ?, Since the further Service Order will be processed in CRM only. For that what has to be done ? How to get that data in CRM and when we have to replicate the data.. Is it immediately after generating Service Order ? and what is the process for this ? ( With Tcodes.. etc)

Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.

CRM-PI Business partner data Transfer using BDOC - IDOC setting

Hi All,

We have CRM 7.1 EHP3 system sending Business partner data BDOCs to PI to HYBRIS system using the middleware setting.

And also HYBRIS sends customer data to CRM using the middleware setting. It's replication of master data in both systems using middleware to be precise.

I have done most of the Outbound idoc configuration settings in CRM end.

1. Created RFC,

2. Partner Profile -Message type - Outbound (CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE / CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE01) .

3. Distribution List and Partner profile Generation also done.

4. Config done on transaction SMOEAC.

EDI Partner Number: <RFC-Destination of target system> (XXXX)

          EDI Partner Type : LS

5. Using the same transaction, you can create Subscription for Publication: All Business Partner Relationships (MESG) and give criteria value as below:

6. Assign the subscription to the site created above.

Replication Object involved here is BUPA_REL.

7.Maintained in Site and BDOC type to Interface type using CRMXIF_C1.

i have created and changed in transaction BP. still i am not able to find out the issues .

I  am new to CRM Integration. How can i achieve it.

Thx

BUPA_MAIN BDoc error message COM_BUPA 10

Hello experts,

We have a BP replication scenario where we're replicating contact persons and customers from CRM to ECC using middleware. Out of roughly 450k records, 350k have replicated to ECC. However, for the rest, there are BDoc errors. When I see the error description, it says "Partner <BP ID>(<GUID>): The following errors occurred". The area field has value COM_BUPA and Number is 10.

Since 80% of the BPs have replicated succesfully, I believe it is a data issue and not related to settings in CRM/ECC.

Could you please help me analyze the issue and suggest possible solutions?

CND_MAP325: Field content from field KUNNR could not be converted

Dear CRM Gurus,

please help me to resolve the issue with condition records replication in CRM (CRM 5.0)

Symptom: Creation of condition record failed in CRM system due to CND_MAP325 error: CND_MAP325: Field content <customer_number> from field KUNNR could not be converted.

The issue appears if condition record creation happens just after customer creation within short period of time.

Example from live system with timestamps:

1. Customer <customer_code> created in CRM system by user at 04:15 EST

2. Outbound Bdoc created

3. Customer <customer_code> automatically created in ECC automatically at 04:15

4. Condition record created in ECC by user at 04:17

5. Condition record creation in CRM failed, no Bdocs created. Error message CND_MAP325 in SLG1

Please advice if there is any permanent solution to fix this issue?

Is there any workaround - e.g. reprocess the replication of failed condition records?

Thank you in advance

Petr

Unwanted SALES GROUP update in BP in CRM

Hello Experts,

We have faced a very unusual issue, where few customers SALES GROUP changed in CRM and replicated to ECC (in our scenario ECC is the leading system where the sold-to party is created or changed).  In CRM changes are not allowed, but we could still see the changes triggered in CRM and replicated to ECC.

We have checked any possible batch job or any other custom code, but that is not the case at all.

When analysed further in TABLE - CDHDR, we found that the changed triggered via transaction PPOMA_CRM (this could be one possibility) . Screenshot for your reference.

Has anyone faced similar situation , if yes please share your analysis and how we can ensure that it will never happen again.

How to restrict the flow of credit card information from ECC to CRM

$

All,

I need your help in finding answers to the situation wherein we would like to stop the credit card related information replication from ECC to CRM.

In ECC the required configuration for card type, card category exist but in CRM since we are not maintaining credit cards we do not have the required configuration.

But when I am making a change in the payment card record in ECC, the delta is going to CRM and is failing with a error Bdoc.

The error bdocs are building up.

credit card bdoc error in CRM.png

Any ideas as to if there is a way to restrict the delta replication of credit card related changes from ECC to CRM.

Is there any relevant adapter object for the same to put filters?

Thanks

CRM Interaction History Issue

$

Hi All,

I have an issue wherein some ACC Agents log in to CRM role but when he/she views the Interaction History only his/her name is being shown under Assistant column. But when I verify the same by logging into the role, going to the interaction history of the same account under Account management-> Acc Overview, I get the list of all the interactions that have happened for latest one month for all the agents.

So this issue has been occurring for few agents. I checked the component workbench went to the specific role key, but couldn't find any parameter or filter that would restrict the view from showing only for the agent that has logged in. Also I checked the SPRO config for interaction history but couldn't find anything worth it.

So to summarize, the agent logs into the role in web ui, opens up a user account but when checking the interaction history, the agents name who has logged in is shown under assistant column, but otherwise it's working fine for me.

The User screen after logging in:- ACC Agent Marlene can see her own logs under Assistant

marlene.png

Another user Debra can see her own logs under Assistant

debra.png

Now when I log in as an ACC Agent, I can see all the agents.

ram.png

So agents should be able to view the record for all the agents apart from their own too.

Kindly help me with some pointers as to how to isolate the issue.

Thanks and Regards,

Ramdas Nair

Customer Hierarchy: ECC to CRM

$

  1. Customer hierarchy – an introduction
  2. Maintaining a customer hierarchy in ECC (Sales and Distribution)
  3. Downloading a customer hierarchy to CRM
    • Initial download
    • Building the hierarchy in CRM
    • Delta download
  4. Common issues and how to resolve them

1. Customer Hierarchy - An Introduction

A customer hierarchy is, very simply, a tree of customers belonging to sales area(s). The nodes of a customer hierarchy are customers belonging to a sales area, whose assignment to the hierarchy is valid for a certain period of time.

Customer hierarchies are typically used in Pricing – it is possible to automatically determine pricing based on condition records assigned to a node or a higher-level node in the hierarchy.

Before maintaining customer hierarchies in ECC, the following have to be set up (in ECC):

a. Organizational Model (Sales Area) Transfer to CRM

Sales areas in ECC should correspond to valid sales areas in CRM, and therefore, an organizational model should exist in CRM which corresponds to the ECC organizational model. For more information regarding this activity, please see: SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Customer Relationship Management > Master Data > Organizational Management > Data Transfer

b. Download Customers to CRM

The nodes of a customer hierarchy in ECC are customers themselves – when downloaded to CRM, the nodes will then not make any sense if the customers in ECC are not mapped to corresponding business partners in CRM. Therefore, an initial download of adapter object CUSTOMER_MAIN should ideally be performed from ECC to CRM.

c. The Type of Hierarchy

In the standard delivery, the default customer hierarchy type is ‘A’ (Pricing), with a partner function assignment of ‘1A’. (More about partner function assignment, later). SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Sales and Distribution > Master Data > Business Partners > Customers > Customer Hierarchy > Define Hierarchy Types

d. Account Group Assignment

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Sales and Distribution > Master Data > Business Partners > Customers > Customer Hierarchy > Assign Account Groups. Since the nodes of a customer hierarchy are customers themselves, it is necessary to make sure that the customers of a specific account group can/cannot be assigned to customers in other account groups

e. Sales Area Assignment

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide > Sales and Distribution > Master Data > Business Partners > Customers > Customer Hierarchy > Assign Sales Areas. Typically, customer hierarchies are created with customers from a few sales areas and then grow as more and more customers from different sales areas are added. Using this customizing activity, it is possible to control which sales areas are relevant for a customer hierarchy, and the link between different sales areas in the hierarchy.

2. Maintaining a customer hierarchy in ECC (Sales and Distribution)

The transaction to maintain a customer hierarchy in ECC is VDH1N. Checking the ‘Limit display to paths’ check-box will display only the structure from the customer entered as input to the root node, ignoring all other nodes in the hierarchy. The master data table which stores the customer hierarchy is KNVH.

3. Downloading a customer hierarchy to CRM

The customer hierarchy supports only an Initial load and a Delta load (in the standard delivery) to SAP CRM.

a. Initial download

Before an initial download is performed, an entry should exist in CRM table CRMATAB for table name = KNVH.

i. Downloading customizing from ECC

The settings made in section 1(d) and 1(e) above have to be downloaded to CRM, which will be used when the hierarchy is downloaded. This is done using the middleware customizing object DNL_CUST_THIT.

ii. Downloading the Customer Hierarchy

Adapter object DNL_BUPA_KNVH is used to download the contents of the customer hierarchy to CRM. A BDoc is not created for the initial download of customer hierarchies. During the download, the contents of CRM table CRM_KNVH_TEMP are deleted and the latest records from KNVH are inserted.

b. Building the downloaded hierarchy

After downloading the hierarchy (i.e., table CRM_KNVH_TEMP is filled with the data from KNVH), the hierarchy has to be reconstructed in CRM. To do this, we use transaction BPH_DNL. When building the hierarchy, it is necessary to make sure that all the relevant sales areas and their parent sales areas are selected. Otherwise, we run the risk of losing some subtrees which are assigned to the same parent sales areas.

c. Delta download

Delta download of hierarchies from ECC to CRM is delivered inactive, and has to be activated manually using maintenance view V_TBH03. Once activated, it is recommended to not deactivate the delta download.

4. Common issues and how to resolve them

a. Request load using adapter object BUPA_KNVH does not fetch any data

A request download of customer hierarchies is not available currently. It is necessary to do an initial load of the hierarchy in case some data from ECC is not present in the CRM system.

b. Error “Node GUID XXX does not exist” while updating a trade promotion

This is caused because the hierarchy node GUIDs in CRM have either been updated with different node GUIDs or are missing from the CRM tree entirely. This over-writing/deletion of node GUIDs happens when running BPH_DNL in CRM (to build the hierarchy tree) without selecting the sales areas for which the tree has to be built and all the corresponding parent sales areas.

c. Changing the validity of a customer/sales area in ECC does not update table CRM_KNVH_TEMP, even though delta is active

Table CRM_KNVH_TEMP is only relevant during an initial load. This table is not updated during a delta – during a delta change, the BP hierarchy tables are updated directly.

CRM-ERP Connectivity & data transfer

$

Guys I need a bit more help/guidance with this.

Both the SAP CRM ehp2 and SAP ECC 6 ERP Systems are IDES systems that I am using as sandbox systems to learn CRM-ERP configuration/customization setup.

In a previus question Ravi Katyal was kind enough to send me a link for Best Practice Guides for CRM. From the list I download document C71 for CRM Connectivity. I carried out all of the steps in the document (and double checked them!).

The logical connections, rfcusers and rfc connections have all been setup, the rfc connections have been tested so connectivity is working fine. The relevant table entries in SAP ECC were made. In the CRM system I also defined an OLTP site, and created subscriptions, with publications assigned (eg All Business Partners, All Business Partner Relationships, all Business Transactions, All, Business Partner Hierarchies, Material, Services... plus others etc).

To test if the CRM Middleware was able to update the target ERP system in the background, I created a Sales Order in the SAP CRM system (through CRM WebClient UI). However when I ran transaction VA03 in the SAP ERP system I found the Sales Order hadn't been transfered?

I also created a new product in the SAP ERP system, but when I checked for the product in the SAP CRM system I found it was missing and hadn't been transfered either.

I obviously realise there's much more CRM middleware and ERP customization that needs to be carried out. But can someone please advise what these are?... ie what are the next steps, or which other CRM best practice guides do I need to refer too, so that I can transfer sales order and product updates (as an example & for starters) between the systems?

Many thanks

Sophie
